Should I form an LLC or A Corporation?
Both an LLC and a corporation generally provide similar liability protection to the owners and managers of the enterprise. However, most people form their business as an LLC, because owners of an LLC can operate the business without many of the formalities required to operate a corporation. Additionally, the taxes paid on the net income earned by an LLC are usually less than the taxes that a corporation and its shareholders must pay. However, there are some circumstances in which you might consider operating your business as a corporation, such as if you will be seeking a significant amount of private investment to fund the enterprise.
